Obligatory Conspiracy Theory Moment:
So Six likes to dream about forests, eh? Gee, that looks a lot like the same forest where Laura has/had her visions.
Obligatory Laura Is Hot Moment:
"Blinking, Bill. Don't forget the blinking." *tiny smirk*
WTF Moment:
Dude, if we could all lose weight like Apollo, the world would be a much less stressed-out place. Seriously, how much time can realistically have passed since the rescue and he's dropped thirty freakin' pounds?
Finally Moment:
OK, I admit it, Kara looks better without the hair. Has everybody lost their Follicles Of Pain now?
Too Far-Fetched Even For Me Moment:
Dark-haired Six? What's that all about?
'Ooh' Moment:
The hybrid. No, seriously, oooh. Also, interesting that the same terminology as is being used for human/Cylon hybrids is already in use with whatever sort of hybrid runs the ships.
Muttering At The Screen Moment:
It seems to me that Baltar, having just had his first look at a Cylon command centre, would not be expected to know what belongs there and what, like that metal thingie, doesn't.
This Show Screws Us Up Moment:
That shot at the beginning, with Tigh hearing Ellen? I wasn't sure for a very long time whether we were supposed to suspect that Ellen was a Cylon or that Saul was cracking up. I liked that it turned out to be neither. Oh, Tigh, you poor one-eyed bastard.
Pleasure of the President Moment:
So when do we get to find out whether Zarek's the Veep or not? Ideally this revelation to the viewers would come at the same time as the discovery by the characters that he and Laura are in a relationship. (No, it could work as a reveal, can't you see it?)
Overall, I am still enjoying. The Baltar bits are much better than I'd expected (though why must the only nude Cylon we get be Sharon? Sigh.), there are story elements that could go to fun places, and a lot of the emo seems to be being repressed (we hope). I also want to point out that as a two-parter, this is MUCH better plotted than the last one - the first ep was not just set-up, it was learning and resolution and generally a stand-alone. YAY for that.
