[putting off going out in the rain]
Jan. 10th, 2016 10:46 amAs you may remember,
dafna and I went to see Paul Gross and Martha Burns in "Domesticated" last November, and the consensus was: great performances, pretty great production, lousy text.
I woke up from a dream this morning that we'd attended a preview performance instead, where they were still trying out different endings and then polling the audience for opinions, and the ending in this case involved Paul Gross improvising an interpretive dance as the rest of the characters complained about him.
(When they were polling audience opinion, I pointed out that the problem was the text being unwilling to make a firm statement about his character, and interpretive dance wasn't really the way to resolve it. I stand by that.)
