Hmm, apparently Paul Bettany is up for Lord Asriel... I'm not as squeeful over that, but he could do, yes.
ETA: IMDB says that Pullman wanted Kidman and wants Jason Isaacs for Asriel and Samuel L. Jackson as Lee Scorsby. Hells yes. ("Get these motherfucking bears off my motherfucking balloon!" ...sorry, wrong movie.)
