In very brief, and without spoilers for next week because I'm good like that!
OK, first off, wow are people dumb. I'm like, they found this habitable planet by accident, and it's perfect that it's hidden by a nebula, but let's remember where this accident came from: the co-ordinates that Racetrack got wrong? Initially came directly from Sharon. A Cylon. Who, with the death of her child? Doesn't necessarily have any reason to hang around with humanity much longer. So this planet that you think the Cylons can't find? They found it through a Cylon. Doy.
Also, my debate team geek is so up in arms and wanting to smack that moderator down, bitch, because while I will allow them to give Baltar that time, they should not have taken it away from Laura. That's just wrong. I mean, had Laura ceded the time? Fine, that would have been her bad strategic move. But the moderator shouldn't have taken it and then just cut her off.
Obligatory mention of how cute and adorable and hot Laura was pre-debate goes here. Because she was, and it was so nice to see her and her little rituals and her nervousness. I'm done now.
Baltar's little "just taking a nap" thing cracke dme right up so much. I love him and Six. And Tori-the-aide being all "Great" was also excellent. OH, and I loved Laura and Baltar's little pre- and post-debate chats, because Laura so clearly pwns him and I adored seeing her tell him to go frak himself. FINALLY.
Hey look, Lee had manpain again. I DON'T CARE. Chief's manpain was way more interesting, even if the priest guy is way evil. But funny.
And while I knew they'd show up back on Caprica, it was well done. The jumping into the mountain thing was a lovely little side touch.
Who thinks that Zarek is just playing Baltar along until he can become the real power behind the administration? Yeah, me too.
I am surprised that's where they left it, although less so on reflection that it's a double ep next week (is it next week yet)? But I really, really enjoyed it.
And now we're re-watching it. Yes. Already. *giggles*
(Nice suit, Laura.)
I bet "A Dark Time" was their other idea for an episode title.
