*flail*
What scares me is that I totally called it. Unspoiled and everything, I walked into my friend's house and said "Hey, I bet they're going to kill Billy! Nah, no, just kidding, I don't think they'll kill Billy. They can't kill Billy, I love the Billy! OK, let's watch the ep." *whimper*
But damn, this was such a good ep. I was all tense and perpetually twitchy throughout. Um. Thoughts, I had throughts.
Billy was faaaabulous, standing up to Adama. And Roslin was so proud and you could just see all the plans she had for Billy written right on her face and *flail* and yeah. And Billy and the debate club ring, oh Billy. God, there needs to be young!Billy fic now, about how he always wanted to be in politics for ever and ever and joined the debate club and worked as a government page and loved the behind-the-scenes at the cabinet and then was so disappointed when he got assigned to Roslin because she was so low down the totem pole and the rumours were that she was boffing Adar and so he thought she wasn't worth working for and then he was wrong. Yes. That needs to be fic.
Ellen, Ellen was fabulous and I love Ellen because she is so blonde. *grin* And hee, she and Apollo were funny.
I like Apollo because he is pretty, but man, he is so noble, it drives me batshit. Although the bit with the dry ice drink cracked me up and was pretty fantastic.
I was hoping we'd get Starbuck in civvie clothes! That was fun. Her hair wasn't bad either. Bet she and Kat took some downtime together and ran off to Cloud Nine in order to get over their issues. Right? Right? Heh. But yeah, Starbuck is fabulous and back in the game, bitches!
Smooth move on shooting Lee, though. *snerk* Oh look, time for more angst. *sigh* I thought Kara was over Lee and back obsessing on her Caprican man?
I was really surprisingly impressed with Tigh in this ep. He's such a blind nutter for his wife, I'd have thought he'd be totally out of control, but he was actually not. I did notice that after ripping Adama a new one for calling the Cylon "Sharon," he did the same thing himself, though. And I loved Roslin (OK, I always love Roslin) calling Billy family. Happy sigh. I also thoroughly enjoyed watching Adama and Roslin go head-to-head like that - I'm glad there's so much tension between them (and now there will be even more), because otherwise it would be boring.
Watching Billy watch the gun was just... so tense. And man, do I ever want to lay the smackdown on Dee. She so did not deserve him. Just no. We were hoping that they'd kill Lee (and let Billy comfort Dee even though he's better than that), but no. And I thought they could have killed Ellen, but she and Zarek are more than likely gonna play a part later on.
The guest star woman was excellent, also. I keep coming back to how good an episode this was. For once, plot-wise, story-wise, I have absolutely no complaints about the way anything happened (except perhaps the Blatant Reversal Of Fortune with Kara hovering outside as Lee and Dee bond at the end). Oh, and again, the inevitable Inconsistent Continuity Editing with the blood on Lee's shirt changing between shots, but they really, really suck at that so it's nothing new.
I totally thought that switching the Sharons was brilliant, although yeah, she's been dead for a very long time and you didn't think that would be obvious, Adama? It was a good buying-time ploy, though. And Billy Billy Billy. *weeps* DEE YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CRY OVER BILLY YOU LOST THAT RIGHT DAMMIT.
i kind of hope Billy's a cylon just so he can come back
The scene at the end in the morgue, just, oh, Adama has absolutely nothing to say for himself because his son is alive and Roslin has just lost the last person in the known world that she trusted. And Mary McDonnell, hi, you're fabulous. Just - the little fixing the hair, and it totally wasn't worth it, it wasn't! And it's just so much worse because it was supposed to be the other way around, Roslin was supposed to die and Billy live, and, oh, man. Oh, this was so good. It hurts in the good way. *sniffles*
