Sci Fi Channel announced BSG prequel-slash-spinoff "Caprica."

Part of me thinks this could be bad and overly soapy - and also, it's not often a good thing when creators split their attention between two or more shows - but part of me is geeking out like whoa over all the Colonial background we'd get in this. And, you know, Cylon creation- and God-related stuff. Heh.
