I thought I was two weeks behind on The Good Wife, but it turns out I was only one! That was both good and bad - good that I wasn't not too behind, but bad that I'd only one to catch up on in the blanket-fort I've turned my bed into due to the, ahem, inclement weather. :P

That delicious, delicious scene with Alicia and Grace, going through Grace's Bible - putting aside everything else that might be contained within it, it just fills me with this absolute joy that we get that. In this episode about a sexual harassment lawsuit, during which Alicia and Will end their relationship partly because of that, to also have this moment where Alicia just... decides to pare down everything in her life to what is most important and needs more focus, and that is her children, is really lovely. I think it's fantastic that we still and always get that level of agency in everything she does; Diane might diapprove, and the firm might be vulnerable, but at the core of everything are Alicia and the decisions she makes. (To have that placed against Canning's offer to bring Alicia into a more 'family-focused' firm is interesting.) Obviously the whole "was Grace abducted" thing is the more played-up motive, but I think we saw the seeds of that in this scene, and that's just... so well done. Interesting too that we see at the end the assumption that the agency lies with the man - and to have Diane making that assumption, when she was so good at puncturing Eli's ego the other week, is a fantastic choice.

Also, I love how often we get Will and Kalinda, the drinking society for People Who Love Alicia Florrick Despite Themselves.

God fucking dammit, I wish I hadn't been spoiled for that final scene on Tumblr. :( Those of us with actual day jobs disapprove of the profligate and immediate posting of gifspams - before I even had time to download, much less watch, the bloody thing, which makes it all the worse. Having to wait a week to watch, okay, spoilers happen - but within hours? Sigh. Rude.

I was going to watch and post about this week's Sanctuary as well, but as my downloaded copy is broken and my internet is being a bit fail, I don't think that's going to happen. So I shall go back and keep working my way through season two. :P

I know! I love that they're becoming sort-of friends. Alicia sure is breaking plenty of hearts on this show, isn't she? If I didn't adore her so much, I would kind of hate her for hurting all of the other characters I love. :P

I loved the things that you loved!

With Tumblr though it's literally within minutes of the first download appearing - I don't go on it until I've seen the previous night's TV. It needs a better cut function like LJ, I think.

I feel like I'm spending every single episode going "This was a very well-done build-up to how clearly gay Grace is going to turn out to be! Pull the trigger soon, show?"

But... well, yeah. APPARENTLY THAT IS AN IMPORTANT PART OF THIS SEASON FOR ME.
