I remain totally impressed by the way this writing team pulls all sorts of different bits and pieces from current events and remixes them.

I am loving dominant!court Alicia. Loving!

AAAAAH ELI AND KALINDA KALINDA AND ELI.

I sincerely hope there is way way way more Diane this year.

I have a very short attention span for "lol cultural differences," but I must admit I'm giggling a little because of Will being too passionate.

"I'm the England of football hooligans and Jack the Ripper." *snerk* BWAHAHAHAHAHA.

American Revolution fantasies. "Well, I can dress up."

Intrigued by the ways in which they're working Peter into this season. Does Diane not even know that Alicia and Peter are separated? They can't manage to keep it THAT quiet, with separate apartments etc. Can they?

Oooooh. Does Eli know Kalinda from when she was Leela? AGAIN, intriguing.

Oh, finally we get some Peter-and-the-kids time, instead of just Alicia-and-the-kids. Which is also quietly heartbreaking.

Ha. Eli and Kalinda failing! That is unexpected! Also, love her brown kinda-baggy outfit. Different and yet still sexy.

OOOOHHHH, so Diane does NOT know, that would be my answer right there. (And how amazing does she look? VERY amazing.) I love the writing, here - Diane is so quickly dismissive of Grace in a "Oh, there is a child, I am meant to acknowledge children!" sort of way.

I think it'll be very interesting to see how Diane spearheading the Peter-relationship will work out. Almost pitting the single clareer woman against the mother-wife-businesswoman, but in a very interesting fashion.

Intrigued by Alicia's line about deferring to authority. Because, um, she's sleeping with authority.

Hahahahaha, loving the use of Twitter. Well done.

Ooooh, Will and Alicia are going to have SO MUCH SEX after this verdict. Wow. Trials as foreplay.

Will, do not lose your relationship with Diane over Alicia, eeeek. Is it going to tear the firm apart? *chinhands* GAH.

Off to the start of the busiest week of the busiest term ever, but I seem to have become this discussion base for this show so thought I'd pop up my brief reactions to tide y'all over. :P So, talk amongst yourselves!

I have only seen it live and with commercials so far, but my first reaction is yay! Eddie Izzard on the Good Wife, how awesome is that?

Alicia has been walking around with a positive swagger, so I was also particularly struck by how much she shriveled as soon as Diane was in her apartment asking her something hard. That suggests to me that it's only skin-deep, at least so far.

And Kalinda and Eli together was awesome. Not like THAT, but they make a very good team--both of them have a slightly askew moral compass.

Oh hostesss with the mostess:

If I had been taking notes during first watching, it would have included some of this.

Yes Kalinda and Eli. Eli appreciating Kalinda and her knowing that he's going to. If the why-he-knows-her isn't spelled out yet, there's probably no use trying to get someone to write me an explanation because on this show there will be an explanation.

Diane's "sweet age", demonstrating that she hasn't a clue either about Grace-as-a-person or 14yo girls in general but knowing she should say something. Like "lovely apartment". Why did she show up in person, really. Was she trying to check her suspicion about Peter not living there? Or was she trying to catch Peter in an unguarded moment.

All that suspensey music right at the end with Will pledging loyalty to the firm over Alicia, obviously Things are going to Happen.

The British-law-culture stuff seemed a bit over the top to me, although it was amusing. (And why do they keep saying English?) And the whole outing-as-Irish.
