News flash: The Good Wife? Still awesome. Awesome enough that even given all the other stuff I am watching it is the only one I feel moved to blog about.
OK, the only thing I don't like: the kids. Guys, you're doing everything wrong. Yes, tell your father about the crazy stalker trackers trying to get you to spill secrets. No, don't be the one to drag the other side's family into it - that just gives them a way to get to you. And Zach, honey, Becka is not to be trusted, haven't we learned this? (Though I am thrilled to see her back - I think that's really interesting, I just want to smack Zach for it.) Eli Gold is made of awesome, though.
What I do like: everything else. FLAIL FLAIL FLAIL.
How jealous is Kalinda that some other investigator is working with her Alicia? I really am becoming convinced that Kalinda is meant to canonically have a crush on Alicia. I loved that she was all "I'm free now! To help you. Because you need me. Wait, you don't need me? LET ME PROVE YOU WRONG SO WE CAN STAY THE AWESOME TEAM OF AWESOME." (And then Alicia was all "I forgot how good you are and now I remember" with her facial exrpession. HEARTS) It's interesting that Alicia seems blind to the undercurrents running between Kalinda and Blake.
ALICIA AND WILL. ALICIA AND WILL ALICIA AND WILL ALICIAANDWILL. I know last week I was all capslock over Alicia and Peter, but hey, I'm fickle. *g* The bit where Will was in bed with the journo and it was very clearly set up so that she looked like Alicia from the back, and then Alicia rang up and he got right out of bed and left the pretender behind and Alicia knew. The full weight of Will thinking Alicia had heard his declaration of love and Alicia thinking he was trying to move on really showed in that phone convo. AND THEN, that line of Alicia's: "I just thought I was done visiting men in prison." OH. That killed me. The parallel between her first visit (that we saw) to Peter, getting him to sign documents, was SO GOOD. Goddamn, this show.
DIANE AND KALINDA. I love these two together (and I know it's beyond improbable, but I would looove to see fic. Seriously, I know Diane went into hysterics at the idea of her being a lesbian, but I just see something there. Somehow. IDK.). I don't want Diane to be getting screwed over by the old boys' club, but the idea of her teaming up with Kalinda to challenge that august institution... brilliant. Love that she ended up being Dobbs' lawyer of choice too. Go Diane. (Ha, I just noticd that Diane kicks off her high heels when she works at her desk - I just love that kind of detail being included.)
And yet I can't get too cranky at Will due entirely to his extremely awesome self-sacrifice of getting called into contempt. Will you are amazing (and I think Alicia is starting to think so too). Plus there are clearly some... things... going on with Will and Bond based on that conference room thing, idek.
Also, I approve that the prosecutor and the judge in the military court were female. Small things, but the sort of things that were probably written into the script, you know?
I had a pickup and delivery scheduled for sometime between 10 and 4 and both things have now occurred. This means I could go to the seminar thingie on campus... which is kind of a mixed blessing, haha. OH WELL, I should make a good show of it (so I have an excuse to wear my brand new Disney Villains makeup out in the real world)... and then finish my seminar planning. *meeps*
In conclusion, show, you are made of hearts. NEXT WEEK PLS.
