tellitslantDude, YULETIDE. I am ridiculously excited about my assignment, which is in a fandom that I offered on a complete whim and yeah. *beams* FTW.
That said, here are notes to my Secret Santa:
First off, whatever you end up writing for me, thank you. :D I am looking so forward to getting fic in any of those fandoms, obviously. So thank you. And remember that nothing I say here is meant as restriction, just as information. :)
Second, most of my requests do involve femslash, and yeah, that's what I'm hoping for (with the exception of the one that doesn't, although hey, if you can work it in...!), but if you don't write it, don't worry. Character development and significant interaction is wonderful also.
I am down with both smut and lack-of-smut.
I like angst, though I would prefer an ending that is not unhappy, at least - ambiguous, happy, but not outright sad. *g*
I'm not really in this for a story about Christmas, except maybe in the Batverse because that can be pretty good (see No Man's Land).
I really enjoy stories that fit into canon, the off-panel sort of stuff, or AUs that depart from a certain point of canon, or background fill-in.
I have been fairly selective about characters that I want the focus on, but other characters in background roles are cool too. I am almost entirely interested in seeing stories about female characters here, though.
If you're writing my comics request, I will point out that I am hugely geeky about pre-Crisis references and stuff like that, though that's a perk, not a requirement.
I looove witty banter. And in-character voice patterns. *G*
Erm. I'm one hell of a grammar nitpicker. Please, if you're not great with the grammar, get a beta, because spelling and grammar problems will rip me right out of a fic.
A bit more fandom-specific stuff, although I'll say again, if you have a different idea run with it. For Sugar Rush, I would love to see either a story about Kim and Beth after Kim's run off to London with Sugar at the end of s1, OR a story about Sugar and Kim and Saint attempting to live together after the end of s2. For Slings & Arrows, I'm kind of looking for a Geoffrey/Ellen love story that anticipates or at least suggests the heatbreak to come, and I really don't want any Geoffrey/Oliver, please. For Gotham Central, I'd love any sort of Renee/Kate, be it backstory or future-fic. And for Gallifrey - Romana/Romana would be fabulous, or Romana/Leela (bodyswap!), or something bizarre with Pandora in Romana I's body, or yeah. *grin* It's Who-verse, go weird!
Lastly, if you want to read any of my stuff to get a feel for what I like, it's all tagged under fic. :)
