tellitslant...wow. Happy twentieth anniversary to this journal account.
Technically, of course, that creation date belongs to livejournal, not dreamwidth, but unlike other accounts like twitter or tumblr I don't see them as different, and after all I've brought my whole archive over here anyway. So it's not really cheating ;)
Twenty years! Twenty years ago I was finishing up my last year of high school. I still thought I wanted to be a lawyer. I'd never lived anywhere outside of Edmonton.
I realised a while ago that this anniversary was coming - because I was thinking about this being twenty years since I graduated high school - and I really wanted to write some fic to commemorate it, but I just did not have the brainpower. Maybe later this week. Or maybe not! if there's one thing I've learned over the past twenty years (and a few before that, back to newsgroups and mailing lists), it's that I never really know where fandom is going to lead me. And that's okay.
