[dost thou even hoist]
Dec. 10th, 2015 05:33 pmI don't think I mentioned here that though I checked out a few gyms and eventually joined one, I haven't found a trainer that I like and so I haven't been lifting of late. This is really frustrating, because I was enjoying weight lifting so much. I am still going to the gym, but much less regularly and with much less enthusiasm. Bah.
The nice thing about this gym membership is that it covers all the gyms in the Toronto area, so if I end up regularly in a different part of the city I could look into checking out the trainers they have there. But man, where am I gonna find another woman who is geeky about Doctor Who and Star Wars and lifting?
I have downloaded a few training exercises and stuff to try out on my own, but I feel so much more comfortable with someone keeping an eye on my form. I'm naturally fairly strong, but that means that the weight I can lift could really hurt me if I'm doing it wrong.
In the meantime, at least I can carry large boxes up four flights of stairs for random neighbours.
