yuletide noms. Here is what I am thinking, pls discuss in comments!
I know The Good Wife will have been nommed already. I'm probably either requesting or offering it, but don't need to nom it, I don't think.
I'm totally nomming Hope Springs, the Alex Kingston-led show about a group of female ex-cons who end up hiding out in a remote Scottish village when their final job goes wrong. I don't even know what kind of fic I want for this, but I want some Alex in my Yuletide somehow dammitand ER probably isn't eligible. *g* Plus it is full of fantastic female characters and at least one character of colour (in what I've seen so far). And only eight episodes, so easy to get up to speed on! *tempts*
If no one else has, I am preemptively nomming RED (movie), which came out in the US this weekend, doesn't come out here till next weekend, but is based on a graphic novel and includes Helen Mirren and Mary Louise Parker, as well as Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, and some other people, as former CIA spies who are "retired and extremely dangerous." Red, geddit? This is the source of the "Helen Mirren with BIG FUCKING MACHINE GUNS" clips that have been floating around the interwebs lately and may be my one exception to my "no spies" rule this year, if it's good.
I am trying to figure out whether Batwoman (comic) is the best way to nom that part of the franchise. The title proper will start in November wth #0, but what I'm obviously building on is the "Batwoman in Detective Comics" run from last year... but that is a really awkward way to describe a fandom, you know? *g* Gotham Central has probably already been nommed, which is awesome, but that doesn't include Kate - and 90% of the reason I am going for this is so I can get someone to write me some Kate/Maggie, dangit.
ETA: Oh god, Secret Six, duh! I don't know if I want to read/write it but it should totally be nommed. Birds of Prey too, I guess. Ha. /ETA
As much as I wish, "River Song" is not actually a subset of Doctor Who fandom, so no joy there. *g* It's small but active enough that I don't feel like I'm missing out, though. But what else should I be thinking of? Anyone? There must have been conversations over the past year where I was all, "That would be perfect for yuletide!!1!" - but not being as organized as some people I know, I have clearly failed to write them all down...
