Because TOO MANY FEELINGS.
ABOUT EVERYONE.
How awesome was it to see Tenzin get to do some real bending? His fighting style is awesome and I loved watching him kick ass and take names and then have to be rescued by Asami. :D Asami who took down what, like six guys, on her own? Even while being romantically conflicted? AMAZIIIIING.
(Oh my god, I just rewatched and the giant robots picked up the police officers by having huge magnets to attract their metal outfits. HA.)
I had to eyeroll a bit at the airbender kids joining in the fight, but it was ridiculously awesome and so I forgive the absurdity. And I love how all the kids are now going to look up to Lin for the rest of forever. Which will come in useful as she recuperates AFTER GETTING HER BENDING BACK and Tenzin and Pema take care of her and make her understand that she is also a valued member of the family.
Because okay, see how restrained I was not starting this post with OMG LIN? ohmigaaaaawwwwwwwwwd LIN. Who obviously grew up on stories of the last airbender and is now entrusted with the same sort of responsibility to protect the airbending skill and culture and does it in a way that would make her mother proud. i love that she never gets mushy or relaxes her grumpitude, too - she doesn't have to 'soften' to care about people, she cares about them all the time regardless of whether she shows it or not.
And oh my god, Lin and her self-sacrificing ways, auuuugh. I ADORE HER SO MUCH. THAT LADY IS EVERYONE'S HERO. I refuse to believe that she won't get her bending back. I mean, of all the characters, she must be the one to whom it is more than just an ability, because she is Toph's daughter. I am now having all the feelings about possible secret mother-daughter communication methods using earthbending, like vibratory Morse code or something, and games they used to play and and and excuse me while I make myself EVEN MORE SAD. How so badass, Lin Beifong. HOW SO.
I have very few thoughts about Team Avatar 2.0. I mean, they are awesome. I am more than looking forward to next week. But they got totally overshadowed by the other age groups this week.
OH AND ALSO GENERAL IROH. I squealed out loud.
