Duncan, Ohio contender for World's Cutest Nephew, [thinks he] knows about academia because his mother is a grad student. This leads to such misconceptions as "They don't have classes in college! Duh!"

But last year I overheard this conversation between him and his mother (my sister), after he'd spent a week at a family funeral.

Ann:What grade is [each cousin] in?
Duncan: [guesses various numbers until he gets them right.]
...

A: What grade is Martha in?
D: Martha who was here?
A: Yes.
D: She isn't in ANY grade any more!
A: Well, you said I was in Grade OSU, so Martha is in a grade like that. Do you remember where Martha is going to school?
D: VAN COUVER! And, did you know, akshally, she's going to be an ARCHAEOLOGIST! LIKE INDIANA JONES! Oh, and Mummy? I know what we should get her for her birthday!
A: Oh?
D: A WHIP!!
