The prices are more or less in the same ballpark now, so it's a matter of deciding based on features. And there are two things I noticed about Christie's kobo: the page-turning is slowish, and the contrast in the e-ink is such that you need to turn on a light sooner than I'd ideally like to have to. From what I've read, the new kindle (though not the earlier versions) is better on both of those fronts. And the more I read about the 3G access on the kindle, the more impressed I was with it.

I also appreciate that the kindle store has more than just English-language books available to me, but of course that wouldn't be as much of an issue for you.
