tellitslantOOOOOKAY, some discussion of those Doctor Who Seasons Six teasers from the Brilliant Book of Doctor Who, with a decidedly River-fannish bent, behind the cut...

beccatoria points out that these are not all true: some are real, some are fake. I have no way of guessing which are which, so I'm just going to talk as if they might all be true, but for the record they are definitely not all real spoilers. Here are the ones I think worth discussing.
First off, The only water in the forest is the river.
OK, this is the one that really struck me, because... what forests have we, and River, encountered? How about the forests of the Vashta Nerada? You know, where River died? (Yes, okay, the forest on the spaceship also counts. But come on.) I have no idea if this is even the right interpretation, but if it is, I would love to see River be given a way out of that non-existence in the library computer omg.
Some lies are too much for the psychic paper.
This one also makes me think of River, though I have to admit it may be more that I want to read this fanfic than that I want to see it done on screen. *g*
The Doctor will get married - twice!
AWESOMENESS. Way to throw all us rabid "River MUST BE the Doctor's wife" fangirls off the scent! (...I cringe to ask, but has anyone out there wondered yet whether this means Rose must be coming back? *ducks and runs*) This does not preclude ONE of the weddings being to River, OR both weddings being to the same person, of course.
"A pillar of salt, yes - but not because she looked back. Looking back is good!"
Obviously a reference to Lot's wife - clearly ties into that other note about "Take up thy sins" - but I put it in here because of the wife bit. And looking back is all about the Doctor and River's relationship, isn't it? Also interesting in that the churchiness ties in to the church-army we saw in the Angels episodes.
Find the lady - before she finds you!
Pay attention - it's not really her.
May not have anything whatsoever to do with River, but wouldn't it be interesting if they did? *g*
Last but not least:
Octavian wasn't lying
This is clearly referring to Father Octavian from the Angels episodes. "You can't trust her. River Song. You think you know her, but you don't. You don't understand who or what she is." / "She killed a man. a good man, a hero to many." This is the obvious information that Octavian gave the Doctor, that is robably what they're referring to - and the "You don't understand who or what she is" makes me thing about "Pay attention - it's not really her" up above. Aaaah, I don't know, but - brilliant and I want to know NOW.
And for a bonus totally batshit insane fangirl moment, am I the only one who read "I was stuck in France!" and "How could a fellow Gallifreyan stoop so low?" next to each other and thougt Romana? I was, wasn't I? It is my secret hope that not only will River NOT turn out to be a fobwatched whoever-is-the-choice-this-week, but that this 'fellow Gallifreyan' will turn out to be Romana or the Rani or some other Time Lady. I mean, two powerful women, plus awesome Amy, come on.
GAAAAH IS IT SEASON SIX YET.
