Holy crap, my birthday's in a month, since when did that happen. *boggle*
That was... definitely the middle instalment in a three-week arc, wasn't it. :/ Not that it wasn't good, but it did suffer a bit.
I am vaguely distressed to see the return of the "x time eariler" trope! I got SO TIRED of that last season.
AUGH EYE SOCKET AUGH EW.
Awww, Tigh. "The last thing your son wants is me and Ellen for parents" indeed. <3
Seriously, Roslin/Zarek OTP 4-eva. "Not as fun as I remember" indeed, Tom. *g* Also, awwww, Laura is so relieved!
AUGH, I am tired of maternal Kara already.
OK, so I was wrong on the "fruit of two peoples" thing. That's disturbingly straightforward for an Oracle. OR IS IT.
OK, so that's interesting - do Cylons only get a finite number of downloads, or at least a finite number without excruciating pain? I don't remember how "Scar" finished up...
Heh, I love that image of the circle of the resistance with Roslin in the centre. And oh, hi, Tom, I guess you just need to cozy up to Laura to get included in the rebellion, eh? *g*
AWWWW, ELLEN. C'mon, Tigh, rise above, you can do it. *hopes*
Why is there not more Three/Eight?
I am ridiculously amused to note that Adama is totally echoing the Odyssey in his speech. Just reinforcing a theory here, folks, move along. ;)
Anyways, yeah. I enjoyed that, but like
shinysassenach said, it was all setup, no action, and a week is too long to wait! ;) I was impressed with the way they resolved the cliffhanger without it being contrived, though. I was kind of disappointed by the way the action they showed last week didn't match up with the way it was shot this week, though - like Cally hearing the gunfire while she was running last week, while this week she was tackled before the firing started. Continuity is important, people.
Also, Lee just gets more and more emo, doesn't he, poor guy.
"Pergamus" reminded me of something - anyways, did a little research. He was the son of Andromache and Acihllles' son Neoptolemus - so, hey, child of two peoples - and the city named after him boasted inhabitants such as the bishop Gaius and the physician Galen. *snerk*
Bottom line is, I enjoyed it but will enjoy it more when there's a little resolution next week.
