That is a good question, and worth thinking about. I know my personal thing in ficwriting is filling in blanks that I perceive to exist in canon, so it is to an extent about what's not there. So I like to think, at least, that I'm not just drawn by the strong women. Obviously, though, everybody's different. Thanks for that!
