With Nick, yeah, I think it was really problematic, and not in a way that actually presented how the situation itself could have been problematic (ie if she still had feelings for him), but that, as you say, tipped over into sensationalism. Which is actually pretty impressive(ly bad), given how sensationalized her sexuality usually is.
