I actually think the Kobo reads MORE, not fewer file formats than the Kindle. I got a Kindle anyway because there are lots of advantages of the Kindle (which I won't regale you with if you've decided against it), but Christie got her Kobo because she can check books out of the library with it, for example. I won't be able to do that with my Kindle.
